Our Team

Editor-in-Chief
Arabella McClure is a writer, artist, and filmmaker from Denver, Colorado. They graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2023, entering possibly the worst job market in the entertainment industry in decades. After months of constant rejection and disillusionment, Arabella decided to create their dream job for themselves, and started Slag Magazine. Arabella lives in Pasadena and loves movies, marijuana, queer culture, wine, animals, restaurants they can’t afford, and traveling.

Design Editor
Luke Quezada is a media artist and designer from Los Angeles, California with a background in interaction design and a passion for new technologies. Luke works full time to develop interactive visualizations for quantum computers. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Luke’s work is diverse, from developing scientific visualizations to designing museum installations. Luke is interested in finding ways to make complex ideas more tangible through experimental uses of new technologies. In the little spare time he has, Luke has developed the visual identity of Slag, as well as contributing as a writer and photographer.

She has a deep love for art – big canvases, small sketches, whatever. Her curiosity keeps her writing, sketching and chasing new ideas, wherever they lead.
